Whew…it was a hot one today…we are FINALLY in Canton, Mississippi…at a luxurious Hampton Inn…The bike tourists who camp (God love em) have way more guts than we have…there’s nothing better than a nice shower and most of the comforts of home.
We are now at Milepost 130 – still headed South. We started at MP 229. We’re moving slowly, averaging about 12 miles per hour…but we’re rollin on.
We ran into a couple of guys from Nashville today who had already been further south and were on the way when we saw them. That’s who’s pictured in this post, and these guys are camping.
Keep those comments coming.

Have fun and enjoy the ride! I’m enjoying getting to follow along via blog. You two are amazing.

We two are tired, but thanks for the accolades…come on down and ride a day with us….miss you guys.

Hey there Chickadees! Yes Donna, this is Jennifer L. and today, I’m not quite sure who I am. You gals look great on the bikes. I hope you two are being nice to each other! Maybe one day, I’ll be brave enough to join you on one of these adventurous rides. Keep up the good work. If anybody can do it, the two of you can. Have fun, be safe and remember that I am here to aggravate you when I can. In the words of Lis, come on y’all…go, go, go…….don’t touch that resistance and keep your RPMS above 90, we are almost home…Jenn
just thought i’d drop a line and tell you guys,GO CATS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A big cheer to you both. Hey, I looked at the picture journal… don’t get to close to the shower drain in the Hampton Inn… it looks like the 75 lbs. is giving you an awesome workout. I miss you both and can’t wait for your safe arrival home. Don’t rush things, the economics of our country is still in shambles, political craziness is in the air, Nancy Grace is still covering Kaylee’s story and Herenton is still in office!!
I can’t believe you guys are missing the Mid-South Fair to be riding on the Natchez Trace. I mean funnel cake, or beautiful peaceful surroundings? I miss you.

This is all so cool! Congrats on your trek so far! It sounds like so much fun, looking forward to more posts.
Greetings from one of the Nashville Boys! I didn’t get a picture of you two together. Looks like you had a great trip. We arrived on time in Nashville on Friday. It was a great trip. You two were two of the four touring cyclists we saw on the NTP the whole week. We saw no one camping cycling. I think I know why – my bike weighted maybe 65 pounds with everything on it. Steve’s trailer was over 50 pounds.
Look us up next time you’re in Nashville. pat /at/ patclements.com
PS – we’re still looking for 3-feet advocates in the Memphis area. http://www.tennessee3feet.org. I have the poster original graphic file if you all want to have some printed.
